SYOSSET, NY [MW Diocese Communications] — During their Spring Session March 28-31, 2017, the members of the Holy Synod of Bishops awarded the Order of Saint Romanos to John Sutko in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the field of liturgical music in the Orthodox Church in America. It is expected that Mr. Sutko, who had served for six decades as choir director at Saint Peter and Saint Paul Church, Burr Ridge, IL, will receive the award in May.
